Sweat-Lodge
The Sweat lodge is used for energetic cleansing, healing and spiritual growth. It is a part of the Indian tradition that was evident in almost every culture in the past, but has been forgotten in most places. The current remanant of this the sauna.
During the Ceremony volcanic rocks are heated in a fire and taken into the sweat lodge on four separate occasions. These four events represent the four elements in life; air, water, fire and earth. The fire in which the rocks are heated represents the male, the lodge represents the female. The sweat lodge is seen as Mother Natures womb. It is a celebration of life in which we bring the timelessness of the 'now' and become closer to ourselves. The traditional songs sung help to connect with the universe and our own centre. We can ask for support, help and healing.
This group ceremony will take at least three hours. Man participate in shorts and woman in a Sarong/t-shirt or bathing suit. After the Ceremony you need a towel.
